Ben Whishaw, Kate Winslet and Lenny Rush win big at the 2023 TV BAFTAs

On Sunday 14 May 2023, London’s Southbank Centre played host to the 2023 BAFTA Television Awards. Hosted by British comedy favourites, Romesh Ranganathan and Rob Beckett, the illustrious award ceremony welcomed both cast and creatives from some of the biggest television achievements of the last 12 months. From drama series, soap operas and comedy shows to live events, sports, and news, the best of the best came together to celebrate television’s biggest moments of the year.

Highlights of the night included Spotlight members Ben Whishaw and Kate Winslet winning the leading performance categories, and Spotlight member Lenny Rush picking up the win for ‘Male Performance in a Comedy Programme’. Apple TV+’s original drama Bad Sisters also picked up multiple awards, including ‘Scripted Casting’.

Comedy legend, Meera Syal, was presented with the BAFTA Fellowship Award from actor, Adrian Lester, for her work and contribution to comedy and performance for her 40+ year career.
